Litchfield Independent, 19 April 1922

Death came suddenly Friday evening, April 14, 1922 to Mrs. Margaret Mortenson---She was born Feb. 23, 1846 at Unslunda, Sweden, and was 76 years of age.  

She, with her husband, Ole Mortenson, came to this country in July 1872 settling that same month on a farm in Swede Grove town--moved to Cosmos in 1885 until they moved to Litchfield--survived by Mrs. Mary Jorden of New London, Oscar, of Williston, N.D. John, of this city, Charles and Henry of Cosmos, Otto of Glencoe and Franc, of Frazee.  She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Hans Lindell, of this city; O.L. Lindell, Grove City, Charley Lindell, Crookston; and Nels Lindell of Waldeck, Sask. Canada.  Her children and brothers and sisters were all here except Nels and Charley Lindell.
