    • The information on George Thomas and his family is based on the only matching record of a “James Thomas” in the 1850 Federal Census for Dallas County, Alabama. It is also assumed that the family was likely to have been in Dallas County in 1850 due to James’ marriage to Marina Clarinda Grice in 1853. [2]
