  • Notes 
    • The _Birth and Death Record for Meeker County, Minnesota_ lists the parents of Margarie McGinley as “Daniel” and “Margaret Logan”. I have assumed that Daniel’s last name was McGinley since Margarie is often referred to by that surname, but there is no conclusive proof of this usage. [6]
    • The 1841/1851 Irish Census Abstracts had numerous references to persons that had died or that had emigrated by the time the census was recorded. If Margaret McGinley was recorded by her family in 1851, after her emigration to America, the discrepancy regarding her age can be explained. However, more research is required. [3]
    • [Alden-1888] lists “McGinlay” as Margaret’s surname. [13]
