    • Harry Staples Caverhill enlisted in the U.S. Navy on 23 November 1917 and served as an Ensign aboard the USS New Jersey. He was first discharged on 3 December 1918 and then again (presumably after re-enlistement) on 22 November 1921. [8]
    • Harry Staples Caverhill’s parents were Harry Sterling and Jannie (Staples) Caverhill. [9]
