  • Notes
    • William Lowe was living with his niece, Hannah Elizabeth (Lowe) Fairbanks and her husband Robert at the time of the 1920 US Federal Census. [7]
    • According to [US- 1920k], William Lowe would have been born closer to 1856 which is consistent with [England-1871a]. [3, 7]
    • Although [Fairbanks-1978] indicates that William Lowe emigrated to the US at the same time as his elder brother Samuel, his presence in the England and Wales Census Returns in 1871 indicates otherwise. [US-1910-1p] also indicates that William Lowe emigrated in 1872 rather than 1869 or 1870 with his older brother’s family. [2, 3, 6]
    • William Lowe was living in a boarding house run by a ‘Thomas Grisdale’ in 1870. Maria (Chadwick) Lowe, William’s sister-in-law, was also living in the same boarding house in East Boson. [6]
