  • Notes 
    • Caroline (Firks) Budahn is listed as “Carolina Callies” on her headstone at Hochheim Cemetery. It appears that she married a “John Callies” (perhaps “John Kalies”) sometime after the death of Friedrich Budahn in 1867. [US-1870-2b] lists Caroline as John Kalies’ wife, and she is living with all 7 of her surviving children by Friedrich, along with her step-father and step-mother in 1870. [5]
