  • Notes
    • [Holbrook-1987d] lists Nathanial Gould’s birthdate as, “...in March 23 day 1716/17”. This notation was common in the American Colonies before the British parlimentary mandate of 1752 that officially changed the start of the new year from March 25th to January 1st. [1]
    • [Holbrook-1987d] does not actually list Harwich as Nathanial Gould’s birthplace. This is an assumption based on the entry appearing in the Harwich records. A christening record should be sought to verify the location. [1]
