  • Notes 
    • Various sources, including [Bowman-1933], list an exact birth date of 7 Jan 1728 for Susanna Paine, but since these sources are probably derived from the same original records, the exact day should be treated as suspect. [3]
    • [Holbrook-1986b] actually lists “January 1728/9,” as the birthdate of Susanna Paine. This notation was common in the American Colonies before the British parliamentary mandate of 1752 that officially changed the start of the new year from March 25th to January 1st. [2]
