  • Notes 
    • [FondduLac-1930] lists the place of Delia (Scheff) Jarvis’ birth as “Russell Point, New York.” However, considering that the USGS has no such listing, and that “Rouses Point,” close to Champlain, Clinton County, where the family of Peter Sheff was known to be living in 1850, it is likely that Delia’s obituary is simply incorrect. [3, 4, 11]
    • Almost all Rauls family records, including most sources in Fond du Lac refer to “Delia Scheff.” Prior to 1870 though, most records have the name “Cornelia,” which may have been Delia’s name at birth. [5]
    • Delia Scheff’s obituary makes reference to 17 children born to her and Abraham Jarvis, and also the fact that her family had been Fond du Lac since 1855. [3]
    • [Tetzlaff-2002] has a death date of 27 September 1930 and Delia’s birth on 16 July 1846 at New York City, New York, but these all conflict with Delia’s obituary, [FondduLac-1930]. [3, 12]
