    • Source [TxSBoH-1918a] lists Fred J Masten’s birthplace as “Ordenburg, Mississippi”, but since there is no such populated place in Mississippi, this is probably a reference to “Orvisburg” in the Poplarville area. However, Fred himself listed his birthplace as “Meridian, Lauderdale County,” in source [US-SSS-1917c]. [7, 8]
