    • Numerous references have Delina Langford’s husband listed as “William Henry Herndon”, but the only vital record with such a reference discovered thus far is [TxDoSHS-1948a], the death certificate of William Herndon’s youngest son James Augustus. A few sources have the name “William Wallace Herndon”. However, there is no clear evidence that either of these is correct. [9]
    • The Find-a-Grave entry for William Herndon, referenced in source [Bethlehem-Baptist-1877a], lists his birthplace as Caroline County, Virginia. [7]
