    Notes
    • [NEHGS-1884b] does not actually list Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts as the location of John W Pettigrew’s marriage to Eliza “Ida” (Eastman) Harvey. The field is actually blank. But given that both individuals were living in Taunton at the time and that they were married by a pastor from Taunton, it is reasonable to assume that the marriage took place in Taunton. [1, 5]
    • Also note the misspelling, “Oda”, of Eliza Ann (Eastman) Harvey’s nickname in [NEHGS-1884b]. This misspelling was carried over to an additional marriage record for the couple. [5]

  • Notes
    • [NHBoVR-1923a1] states that John W. Pettigrew had been a resident of Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire for 25 years at the time of his death, but this is probably just a guess on the part of the recorder. John W. Pettigrew was enumerated with his wife in the 1900 US Federal census in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. [3, 10]
    • [NHBoVR-1923a1] states that John W. Pettigrew was “81 years, 10 months...” old at the time of his death, putting his birth on 7 Dec 1841. However, this may also be an estimate, and although the month matches the birthdate notation in [US-1900-1s], the year does not. This date is also inconsistent with [NEHGS-1884b] which lists John’s age in 1884 as 37. [3, 5, 10]
    • John W. Pettigrew’s parents were Nathaniel Pettigrew and Sarah Duncan. [10]
    • John W Pettigrew and his wife Eliza “Ida” Ann (Eastman-Harvey) Pettigrew were living in the household of Ida’s younger son by her first marriage at the time of the enumeration of the 1920 US Federal Census. [8]
