  • Notes
    • Like his younger brother Hans, Ola Nilsson began using the surname “Lindell” sometime after the emigration of his father’s family to the United States in 1872. [6, 14]
    • [US-1900-1j1] has Ola Nilsson’s emigration year as 1869 and lists his name as Olaf N Lindell. 1869 is consistent the information from source [Alden-1888] and accounts for the fact that Ola Nilsson is not listed with his father’s family in the manifest of the S. S. Sarmatian in 1872. Like his younger brother Hans, Ola Nilsson almost certainly emigrated to the United States ahead of his father’s family. [3, 5, 14]
    • [US-1900-1j1] Lists Ola and his second wife Clara as having been married for 13 years in 1900 despite the fact that his first wife Ellen was still alive as recently as 1895. [3]
    • In 1900, two nephews of Ola Nilsson are listed in his household: Clarence Ahlstrom and Oscar Ahlstrom. It is not known which of Ola’s sisters married a man named Ahlstrom. [3]
