The Lamar County Genealogical Society has a date of 25 Dec 1884 for the marriage of Robert Pinkney Draper to Mary Hanna Johnson. Draper, Robert Pinkney (I2115)

The Lamar County Genealogical Society has a date of 25 Dec 1884 for the marriage of Robert Pinkney Draper to Mary Hanna Johnson. Johnson, Mary Hannah (I2116)

The Lamar County Genealogical Society has a date of 9 Sep 1866 for the marriage of Allen Ambrose Ross to Sarah Elizabeth Draper. Ross, Allen Ambrose (I2105)

The LDS Ancestral File database incorrectly identifies Emma L Logan as the wife of William Henry Herndon (son of Joseph Herndon), rather than as the wife of William Henry Herndon (son of George Herndon). Logan, Emma L (I2285)

The LDS Ancestral file entry listing Hanna Nilsdotter’s death date incorrectly lists her name as “Hanna Nilsson,” but must use that surname for lookups. Nilsdotter, Hanna (I2001)

The LDS Church - International Genealogical Index has multiple references for Hannah Eastman. One lists her birth year as 1835, one as 1837. The former date agrees with the 1850 US Federal Census for Cornish, York County, Maine. The latter agrees with the 1860 US Federal Census. Eastman, Hannah (I2173)

The LDS Church International Index has two references to a Susan Eastman. Although duplicate references are not unusual, these may be two different individuals becasue of the 9 months between their birth dates. Eastman, Susan (I2171)

The LDS International Genealogical Index has a conflicting entry for Harrison Eastman with a birth date of 7 Apr 1827. Eastman, Harrison (I2172)

The listed birth place of Aaron Lynch, Huntland, Franklin County, Tennessee, is highly suspect considering that all of his younger siblings (the children of Elijah Lynch and Rose Crawford) were *ALL* born in Culpeper, Culpeper County VA. Further research is required. Lynch, Aaron (I867)

The listed parish of Michael Friedrich Köpsel’s death is “Neu Colzow”. Colzow was apparently a subdivision of Wollin Parish. Köpsel, Michael Friedrich (I4241)

The listing for John in Julia Maloney’s death record is very hard to read. It may in fact read “McDoney”. But considering that Julia’s maiden name is listed in her daughter Margaret’s death record as “Maloney,” I’ve chosen to go with this surname. Maloney, John (I2361)

The marker inscription is very faint in photos from source [Stiles-Jennings-1882a] but may read, “Jane wife of M. Renegar…” Stiles, Jane (I856)

The marriage date for Francis Dean Stiles and Edith Frances Jordan is confirmed by an inscription of their grave marker. Family: Francis Dean Stiles / Edith Frances Jordan (F1108)

The marriage date of 24 June 1931 is taken from an inscription on the couple’s grave marker at Flintville Cemetery. Family: Carl Rufus Stiles / Clara M Bryant (F2472)

The marriage license contained in source [Williamson-1911] does not list the actual location where Merlin Douglas Masten and Lois Miranda Stiles were married. It does, however, list Lois’ middle name as “Marina” rather than “Miranda”. This fact has significant implications since almost all contemporary genealogical sources and accounts of family members agree that her middle name was Miranda. The name Miranda, though, is not yet supported by any vital records. An additional primary source is required to substantiate the family’s belief. Family: Merlin Douglas Masten / Lois Miranda Stiles (F40)

The marriage notice for “J P Kilpatrick” and “Florence Stiles” appears in the 4 Jan 1900 edition of the Fayetteville Observer, page 2, column 5. Stiles, Florence L (I3386)

The marriage notice for “J P Kilpatrick” and “Florence Stiles” appears in the 4 Jan 1900 edition of the Fayetteville Observer, page 2, column 5. Kilpatrick, J P (I3387)

The marriage notice for “J P Kilpatrick” and “Florence Stiles” appears in the 4 Jan 1900 edition of the Fayetteville Observer, page 2, column 5. Family: J P Kilpatrick / Florence L Stiles (F2483)

The marriage notice for “W. A. Stiles” and “C. A. Smith” appears in the 18 Dec 1902 edition of the Fayetteville Observer, page 3, column 5. Stiles, William Alexander (I3360)

The marriage notice for “W. A. Stiles” and “C. A. Smith” appears in the 18 Dec 1902 edition of the Fayetteville Observer, page 3, column 5. Smith, Clemmie Atlanta (I3361)

The marriage notice for “W. A. Stiles” and “C. A. Smith” appears in the 18 Dec 1902 edition of the Fayetteville Observer, page 3, column 5. Family: William Alexander Stiles / Clemmie Atlanta Smith (F2467)

The Meeker County death record for Margaret O’Keefe, as well as her gravesite list her birth date as 4 Aug 1872. O’Keefe, Margaret (I292)

The memorial in Helidon General Cemetery incorrectly lists Margaret Emma Fairbanks’ death date as 21 July 1970. Fairbanks, Margaret Emma (I5062)

The modern location name for Owensburgh, Indiana is “Owensburg”. Perrin, Thomas W (I4192)

The modern location of James Nuckolls birth would be Dinwiddie County, Virginia. Nuckolls, James (I2572)

The modern location of John Nuckolls birth would be Dinwiddie County, Virginia, but that county was, in 1732 part of Prince George County (and before 1703 part of the original Charles City County). Nuckolls, John (I2556)

The modern town of Adel is not located in Walton County, Georgia. Rather, it is located in Cook County in the souther part of the state. For this reason, the death location for Charles Reneau Bradford, as listed in [Nix-2000] is probably not correct. Bradford, Charles Reneau (I4401)

The name of Philip Eastman’s first wife is not known. Eastman, (unknown) (I2731)

The name “Lulu F” from source [US-1880-1l] is probably a nickname, as it is contradicted by numerous other sources. Tutein, Julia F (I2401)

The naturalization date and location listed in [Fairbanks-1978], “13 Oct 1882, Boston, Suffolk County” conflict with the US DoJ, INS records in source [US-INS-1880a]. Since the latter is the actual naturalization record from the US government, it is used in this database. Lowe, Samuel (I40)

The News and Courant, Cartersville, Georgia, Thursday, September 8, 1904
Greely.
Sparks, William Earl (I4473)

The notations for source [England-1851a]’s at Ancestry.com list Lancashire as the county, but the Chadwick residence appears to have been on Grasscroft Road in Stalybridge, part of Cheshire. This is consistent other sources that place Allan Chadwick in, or around, Stalybridge at the time of his death. Chadwick, Allen (I45)

The obituaries quoted in source [Saint-Johns-1920a] indicate that Frederick William and Josephine Anna (Bertrand) Gootee had 10 or 11 children, 8 of which were still alive in 1910 and six of which were still alive in 1920. Bertrand, Josephine Anna (I3898)

The obituaries quoted in source [Saint-Johns-1920a] indicate that Frederick William and Josephine Anna (Bertrand) Gootee had 10 or 11 children, 8 of which were still alive in 1910 and six of which were still alive in 1920. Gootee, Frederick William (I3903)

The obituary of Amanda (Thomas) Moore lists this individual as a “son” named “Nealy S.”, despite US Census records indicating that this individual was Amanda’s eldest surviving daughter, Nellie. Moore, Nellie (I4049)

The obituary of James Eastman, [Exeter-1932] and [US-1900-1b] both agree that Silas’ surname is “Manwaring,” not “Manwarren” as stated in Letter to Robert Stanley Fairbanks from Herbert Warren Tutein. Manwaring, Silas S (I204)

The obituary of Nils’ older sister Margareta indicates that he probably emigrated to the United States with his father and older brothers and may have been living in Waldeck, Saskatewan Province, Canada at the time of her death in 1922. Nilsson, Nils (I1994)

The obituary transcription for Helen Louise (Allen) Herndon, available in the Find-a-Grave entry, has Yoakum, DeWitt County, Texas as the location of her birth. This conflicts with the information provided by her descendants in source [HerndonML-2017]. Allen, Helen Louise (I5230)

The only known reference to this child of James Augustus Herndon and Flora Gertrude Bradford is [Lamar-1950a]. A twin of Ina Langford Herndon that was stillborn or that died as an infant, this child never appears again and appears not to have had a birth certificate. Herndon, (unnamed) (I3298)

The original entry from source [LDS-AF-1999a] did not distinguish whether this individual lived and died in Louisa County or the town of Louisa. Since the town does not appear to have been incorporated until after the formation of the United States, the county is assumed. Lipscomb (I2707)

The original entry in [Nix-2000] refers to this individual as an “Infant daughter” of Dr. Vester Langford and Florence A (Dixon) Langford, but does not list a death date. Langford, (unnamed) (I4446)

The original entry in [Nix-2000] refers to this individual as an “Infant son” of Dr. Vester Langford and Florence A (Dixon) Langford, but does not list a death date. Langford, (unnamed) (I4449)

The original LDS Ancestra File record lists “1756/1757” for Rebecca Alley’s birth date and “Stafford County, N.h.” as Rebecca’s birth place. The location has been corrected to “Strafford County”. Alley, Rebecca (I3214)

The original LDS Ancestral file reference lists Susannah Nuckolls’ birthplace as “Pinckney, South Carolina”. Pinckney District, South Carolina only existed for a 3 year period from 1795 through 1798. At the time, King’s Mountain would have been located in the Camden District (modern day York County). Nuckolls, Susannah (I2531)

The original marriage entry from [Nix-2000] reads, “Bartow County, Georgia, Book I, Page 177,” as if it is a source rather than a statement of the marriage location. Additional research is needed. Family: Daniel Fletcher Bradford / Susan Belle Collins (F3179)

The original marriage entry from [Nix-2000] reads, “Bartow County, Georgia, Book K, Page 106,” as if it is a source rather than a statement of the marriage location. Additional research is needed. Family: Max Sidney Flynt / Susan Rebecca Smith (F3178)

The original marriage entry from [Nix-2000] reads, “Bartow County, Georgia, Book L, Page 87,” as if it is a source rather than a statement of the marriage location. Additional research is needed. Family: Henry Grady Allison / Lois Belle Bradford (F3180)
