| Despite all family evidence to the contrary, it appears that Hannah Elizabeth Lowe may have been christened “Elizabeth Lowe,” and was known by that name at various points in her life. First, [US-1880-1q] and [US-1870-2d2] list Hannah as “Elizabeth A. Lowe”. Second, on 4 Apr 1869, an Elizabeth Lowe, the daughter of Samuel and Mary Lowe, was christened at St. Mary’s Church, Manchester, Lancashire, England. Third, Hannah Elizabeth Lowe is listed twice, first as “Elizabeth H” and then again as “Lizzie” in the birth entry for her eldest son, Samuel. | Lowe, Hannah Elizabeth (I34)

| Despite being widely used and reported by a number of second-hand sources including [Stiles-1998] and [Stiles-1986], there are no references to the given name, “Francis”, in any first-hand sources or vital records. Consequently, Lindell-Herndon Genealogy uses “Seaborn Stiles” as this individual’s name. | Stiles, Seaborn (I736)
| Despite having married Blanche S. Hamilton in February 1900, Winfred Hawkes Tutein is enumerated with his parents and sister in [US-1900-1u]. | Tutein, Winfred Hawkes (I3823)
| Despite numerous census records from the 1800’s that list the family surname as “Dean”, Mabel’s surname at birth, and as used by most of her closest relatives, was “Deane”. This surname is also consistent with Tutein family letters and interviews that refer to the wife of James Warren Eastman as, “Mabel Deane”. | Deane, Mabel Maria (I209)
| Despite the marriage date listed in [Todd-1998], an unmarried “Willy Grice,” appears in his father’s household in the the 1870 US Federal Census for Lowndes County, Alabama. | Grice, Willis Carpenter (I840)

| Despite the usage in [Fairbanks-1978], there is no indication that Samuel Lowe’s referred to himself with the suffix “Sr.” | Lowe, Samuel (I47)
| Determining the actual date of Michael Friedrich August Köpsel’s emigration to the United States is very difficult. The only other Köpsel (Koepsel or Koebsel) family to travel from Germany to the US in the 1840’s was the family of Carl Koebsel, and that family did have a son August, but he was only 17 years of age in 1846 when they emigrated. Moreover, [US-INS-1855a] indicates that our ‘August Köpsel’ traveled in 1847 rather than 1846. Consequently, the author believes that Michael Friedrich August Köpsel did indeed emigrate in 1847 and on the same ship as his future wife, Carolina Dorothea Ulrica (“Emily”) Budahn. His entry in the ship’s manifest seems to appear on the last line of the second page | Köpsel, Michael Friedrich August (I404)
| Dewey Emmett Stone appears to have been married once prior to his marriage to Lottie L. Taylor. In 1926 he married Lillian Evelyn Perritt just after the birth of their first child. A second child followed from that marriage in 1927, but by 1932 Ms. Perritt had remarried. Dewey Emmett Stone probably married Lottie L. Taylor near, or after, 1932. | Stone, Dewey Emmett (I5298)

| Dora Tutein is oddly listed as a “Boarder” in source [US-1900-2e] and her mother is listed as having been born in Maine. Given that Alice Gertrude (Kimball) Tutein was born in Massachusetts, Dora may be an adopted child. Further research is required since other census entries list her as a daughter of Constantine and Alice Tutein. | Tutein, Dora (I5002)
