    Notes:

Like his younger brother Hans, Ola Nilsson began using the surname “Lindell” sometime after the emigration of his father’s family to the United States in 1872.

[US-1900-1j1] has Ola Nilsson’s emigration year as 1869 and lists his name as Olaf N Lindell. 1869 is consistent the information from source [Alden-1888] and accounts for the fact that Ola Nilsson is not listed with his father’s family in the manifest of the S. S. Sarmatian in 1872. Like his younger brother Hans, Ola Nilsson almost certainly emigrated to the United States ahead of his father’s family.

[US-1900-1j1] Lists Ola and his second wife Clara as having been married for 13 years in 1900 despite the fact that his first wife Ellen was still alive as recently as 1895.

In 1900, two nephews of Ola Nilsson are listed in his household: Clarence Ahlstrom and Oscar Ahlstrom. It is not known which of Ola’s sisters married a man named Ahlstrom.

    Other Events and Attributes:

    Notes:

The birth and death of the first child of Ella and Ola Nilsson named Otto is listed as having happened in 1885/86 in source [Alden-1888]. However, given that the birthdate of the younger brother, Otto Anton, is also a decade off, this database uses dates in the 1870’s because they fit most of the available evidence.

  3. 4.  Otto Anton Lindell Descendancy chart to this point (1.Ola1) was born on 19 Feb 1877 in _______, _______, Minnesota, United States; died in 1935 in _______, _______, Minnesota, United States; was buried about 1935 in First Lutheran Cemetery, Trinity Lutheran Church, Grove City, Meeker County, Minnesota, United States.

    Notes:

Source [Alden-1888] actually lists Otto Anton Lindell’s birth on 19 Feb 1887 rather than 19 Feb 1877. This appears to be an error, since Otto is listed in the 1880 US Federal Census in his father’s household.

    Notes:

[Alden-1888] lists Mina Albertina Lindell’s birth in September of 1880, but this is obviously incorrect as she appears in the US Federal Census for 1880.
