    • Although the dates of Willis’ birth and death can be read from the gravestone photograph, the years are much harder to discern. 1846 as the year of his birth, is consistent with [US-1860-1f] but not with [US-1870-1i]. [3, 4]
    • Despite the marriage date listed in [Todd-1998], an unmarried “Willy Grice,” appears in his father’s household in the the 1870 US Federal Census for Lowndes County, Alabama. [5, 7]
