[Brock-2017] states that AnnBerry Walker Collins and her siblings were raised by their maternal aunt, Susan Belle Langford, after the death of their father in 1875—their mother, Delilah Ann (Langford) Collins having died previously. Collins, AnnBerry Walker (I4380)

[Brock-2017] states that Elizabeth Bryant Collins and her siblings were raised by their maternal aunt, Susan Belle Langford, after the death of their father in 1875—their mother, Delilah Ann (Langford) Collins having died previously. Collins, Elizabeth Bryant (I4378)

[Brock-2017] states that Mary Ellen Collins and her siblings were raised by their maternal aunt, Susan Belle Langford, after the death of their father in 1875—their mother, Delilah Ann (Langford) Collins having died previously. Collins, Mary Ellen (I4376)

[Brock-2017] states that Miller Jane Collins and her siblings were raised by their maternal aunt, Susan Belle Langford, after the death of their father in 1875—their mother, Delilah Ann (Langford) Collins having died previously. Collins, Miller Jane (I4379)

[Brock-2017] states that Susan Belle Collins and her siblings were raised by their maternal aunt, Susan Belle Langford, after the death of their father in 1875—their mother, Delilah Ann (Langford) Collins having died previously. Collins, Susan Belle (I4381)

[Brock-2017] states that Susan Belle Langford raised her six nieces, the children of her younger sister Delilah Ann (Langford) and Miller Collins, after their father’s death in 1875. Langford, Susan Belle (I2339)

[Brothers-1999a] lists the date of Daniel Napoleon Draper’s death as 12 Apr 1870, but this conflicts with the headstone at Littlejohn Cemetery. Draper, Daniel Napoleon (I2117)

[CaDoHS-1957a] and [US-1940-1a] are have inconsistent birth years--off by a decade. Anderson, Elizabeth Maude (I3308)

[Calcasieu-1923a] records the date that Tennie (Calhoun) Herndon and Harley Mabry obtained their marriage license. It may not be the actual date of their wedding. Family: Harley George Mabry / Tennie May Calhoun (F2976)

[Canada-1921b] incorrectly lists the years of Beatrice Fairbanks’ emigration to Canada as 1912. Fairbanks, Beatrice (I3984)

[Chenoweth-2005] lists death date as “Oct 1960”. Frohock, Millard Maurice II (I98)

[Chenoweth-2005] states that Russell Martin Chenoweth and Evelyn Lowe Frohock were married at “Booneville”, but it appears that the town’s name is “Boonville”. Family: Russell Martin Chenoweth / Evelyn Lowe Frohock (F32)

[Cherokee-Cemetery-2004a] has death at Bexar County, Texas. Bond, Estus Warren (I1537)

[Dassel, 2000] indicates that Otto Felip Jansson was born in Minnesota, but this is incorrect. Jansson, Otto Felip (I340)

[Dodd-1999] incorrectly has Marina’s name listed as “Maina”. Family: William Odell / Marina Todd (F1425)

[Dodd-1999] lists Willis Todd’s bride as “Ella Hinton,” but otherwise agrees with [Todd-1998]. Family: Willis Todd / Ella Luisa Hinton (F1456)

[DonaAna-1932] has Elizabeth Masten claiming her birth date is 5 February 1914 which would have made her 18 at the time of the wedding. But, since it appears that the marriage was conducting without the permission of her mother, Lois Miranda (Stiles) Masten, Elizabeth probably lied on the certificate. Masten, Elizabeth Marina (I115)

[England-1861a] has David Firth’s residence on “Leach Street”. The contemporary name for this is “Leech Street”, and Page 1 of that same source, lists the name correctly. The misspelling appears to be a census taker’s mistake. Firth, David (I53)

[Exeter-1908a] and [Exeter-1908] both state that Warren Eastman was the son of John Eastman and Betsey Day of Parsonsfield, York County, Maine, but to date no records have been found to substantiate this. Moreover, LDS IGI has a complete listing of children of John Eastman, and no Warren is listed. It may be the case that Jeremiah Eastman (an elder son of John) and Warren Eastman, are the same man. Eastman, Warren (I73)

[Exeter-1908a] lists Warren Eastman’s age at death as, “87 years, 8 months, 21 days.” This makes his birth date 19 Apr 1820. However, [Exeter-1908] and [NHBoVR-1908a1] both list Warren Eastman’s age at death as “86 years, 7 months, 21 days,” making his birth date 19 (20) May 1821. The May 1821 date also agrees with census records from sources [US-1880-1f] and [US-1900-1b]. Thus, the 1821 date is used. Eastman, Warren (I73)

[Fairbanks-1949] and [Fairbanks-1978] both have the name “Euphemia Thompson”, and this name is listed with the birth information for most of the children of Richard Fairbanks and Euphemia (Thomson) Fairbanks. However, “Thomson” is spelling used by Euphemia’s family. Thomson, Euphemia (I39)

[Fairbanks-1949] breaks down the emigration of the nine listed (of eleven known) children as follows:
- A son (James or William?) emigrated to South Africa to work the diamond mines and was not heard from again after a few early contacts. (Neither proven nor disproven.)
- A son and a daughter emigrated to Australia for the gold rush. (John Edward and an unknown sister possibly Margaret?)
- Two daughters (probably references to Beatrice and Martha) accompanied their brother “Tom” (almost certainly Thomas) to Canada. (Although it has been proven that the two youngest sisters actually travelled alone to meet their older sister Euphemia’s family. Thomas emigrated to Canada later.)
- Richard accompanied Robert to the United States. (Neither proven nor disproven.)
- A son (James or William) joined the British Military and was killed in the Boer War in South Africa. (Neither proven nor disproven.)
Fairbanks, Richard (I38)

[Fairbanks-1949] claims that John Fairbanks was killed in the Boer War while serving with the British Military. However this conflicts with [QDoJaAG-1938a] and [QSA-1888a]. Fairbanks, John Edward (I3982)

[Fairbanks-1949] incorrectly lists this person as “Frederick Tutein”. Tutein, Constantine Dedriech (I72)

[Fairbanks-1949] incorrectly lists this person as “William Tutein” but notes that he was a Danish sea captain wrecked off the New England coast. This second assertion is consistent with the fact that no other Tuteins emigrated to the US before the 1900s. However [Graves-1901a] states that Friedrich Tutein was part of the crew. Tutein, Friedrich Johannes (I185)

[Fairbanks-1949] incorrectly states that Harriet Cole Eastman was born in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, United States. Eastman, Harriet Cole (I71)

[Fairbanks-1949] lists Euphemia Thomson’s husband as “James Fairbanks,” born in Coventry, England but numerous birth records of their children and their marriage license contradict this. The name “James Richard Fairbanks” is, however, supported by one source, the death entry of their eldest son, John Edward Fairbanks. Fairbanks, Richard (I38)

[Fairbanks-1949] notes that a son, ‘Tom’, emigrated to Canada along with two sisters. Beatrice and Martha, the two youngest sisters, emigrated to Canada in 1913 but where not accompanied by Thomas. He is, however, enumerated in the household of his sister Beatrice and her husband James Thompson in 1921. Fairbanks, Thomas (I3981)

[Fairbanks-1949] notes that one son (unnamed) emigrated to Australia with one of his sisters, and that another son (unnamed) emigrated to South Africa to work the diamond mines. James is probably one of these two unnamed sons. Fairbanks, James (I931)

[Fairbanks-1949] notes that one son (unnamed) emigrated to Australia with one of his sisters, and that another son (unnamed) emigrated to South Africa to work the diamond mines. William is probably one of these two unnamed sons. Fairbanks, William (I3983)

[Fairbanks-1949] states Nancy Ruth Fairbanks’ great-grandfather died at the age of 56 (probably around 1893 based on his age at marriage.), but this conflicts with the date listed in [NAoI-1889]. Fairbanks, Richard (I38)

[Fairbanks-1978] has birthdate in April of 1904. Frohock, Lawrence William (I100)

[Fairbanks-1978] has Robert Fairbanks’ birthplace as Coventry, England in 1869. [US-INS-1898a] has Robert’s birth in Warwickshire, England on 3 Sep 1867. However both of these conflict with [Sligo-1867]. In this database we use “3 Sep” on the presumption that Robert knew his own birth date and that 20 Sep 1867 (from the Irish civil registration records) is probably Robert’s christening date--actual birth dates being recorded only very rarely in England and Ireland at the time. For the birth location, we use Coolaney, County Sligo, Province of Connaught, Ireland--First, because it is the only actual birth record found for Robert that is consistent with his father’s occupation, his mother’s maiden name, and the birth locations of most of his siblings. Second, Englishmen born abroad frequently lied about the location in order to avoid discrimination. It should be noted that both Coventry and Warwickshire are consistent with where Richard and Euphemia (Thomson) Fairbanks where living when their eldest son John Edward was born in 1862. Fairbanks, Robert (I32)

[Fairbanks-1978] incorrectly lists death at Troy, Rensselaer County, New York, United States. Frohock, Millard Maurice II (I98)

[Fairbanks-1978] mentions that Joseph Hardy died after 1911 in East Boston, but this is contradicted by by Joseph Hardy’s death certificate which lists him as living at a private residence at 30 Jenkins Street in Boston. [NEHGS-1903a] also notes that Joseph Hardy’s usual residence was Lowell, Massachusetts. Hardy, Joseph (I46)

[Fairbanks-1978] states that Richard Fairbanks was the ‘Chief Steward of the Temple family of Coventry’. This is probably a reference to Henry Lord Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston who was known to have estates in Scotland and Ireland, including Cassiebawn Castle and estate in northwestern County Sligo. However, most of Richard Fairbanks’ children were born in the area of Temple House Estate, the ancestral home of the Perceval family near Ballymote. In fact, two daughters, Beatrice and Margaret, are actually listed as being born at ‘Temple House’. Given these facts, it is more likely that Richard Fairbanks worked for the Perceval family in some capacity rather than for Lord Palmerston. Fairbanks, Richard (I38)

[Fairbanks-1979] has death occurring in East Boston, Merrimack County, Massachusetts, but this conflicts with Samuel Lowe’s death certificate. Lowe, Samuel (I40)

[FondduLac-1930] lists the place of Delia (Scheff) Jarvis’ birth as “Russell Point, New York.” However, considering that the USGS has no such listing, and that “Rouses Point,” close to Champlain, Clinton County, where the family of Peter Sheff was known to be living in 1850, it is likely that Delia’s obituary is simply incorrect. Scheff, Delia (I370)

[FondduLac-2001a] actually lists Raymond David Fields’ burial in “Ledgeview Cemetery,” but [USGS] lists no such cemetery. “Lakeview” is the closest match. Fields, Raymond David (I697)

[FreeBMD-2005a] has an entry for the marriage of Allen Chadwick and Mary Firth that corroborates the information in [Glossop,1842] and lists the district as “Hayfield, County Derbyshire” the month as December but does not list the day., Family: Allen Chadwick / Mary Firth (F14)

[George-2003] is not clear as to whether or not Inez Masten is buried with her parents. Masten, Inez (I2293)

[Graves-1901a] has George Whittemore Stacy’s death in January 1892. Stacy, George Whittemore (I4991)

[Graves-1901a] lists 13 June 1813 as Philemon Stacy’s death date. The source of this date is not known, but it conflicts with Massachusetts vital records as recorded in [Holbrook-1813a]. Stacy, Philemon (I4984)

[Grayson,1942a] has Sarah Elizabeth Turpin being born in Adair County, Kentucky in 1850, but considering the Turpin family’s presence in Wayne County 1850, this is extremely unlikely. It is more likely that Rebecca (Bradley) Calhoun, the filer of Tennie May Calhoun’s probate birth certificate, didn’t know the birth places of her sister-in-law’s parents and simply listed Adair County, the last location in Kentucky where they where know to have lived. LDS IGI records, on the other hand, have a listing for a “Sarah E Turpin,” born to James and Martha in Wayne County, in 1849. Turpin, Sarah Elizabeth (I3906)

[Grayson,1942a] indicates that James Marion Calhoun and Sarah Elizabeth Turpin had a total of 8 living children in 1891. Calhoun, James Marion (I3300)

[Greifswald-1816a] does not explicitly state the location of Dorothea Maria Budahn’s marriage to Michael Friedrich Magritz, but the custom of the time seems to be that the groom married the bride in her family’s hometown or parish. Consequently they were probably married in Dannenberg, Wollin Parish, Pomerania. Family: Michael Friedrich Magritz / Dorothea Maria Budahn (F3110)

[Greifswald-1816a] gives no information on Dorothea Maria Budahn’s birth location, though it is likely to be Dannenberg, Wollin Parish, Pomerania where her brother’s were born. Budahn, Dorothea Maria (I4282)

[Greifswald-1825a] states that Michael Fridrich Budahn was “...of Danneberg”. This is probably a reference to Dannenberg, a village on the island of Wollin at the edge of the Baltic Sea. The modern location is the Polish village of Domysłów, Wolin. Budahn, Michael Friedrich (I1116)
