 #   Notes   Linked to
William R. Taylor appears to have married a second time after the death of his first wife, to Eddie Lou Stubblefield. Taylor, William R (I3345)

William R. Taylor’s gravesite is notable for the lack of a death date. Although it is not uncommon for grave stones to be placed when the first spouse dies, the fact that William R. Taylor’s death date was not inscribed on the stone upon his death might indicate that he is not actually buried with his first wife, Theresa Catherine Tucker. Taylor, William R (I3345)

William Rowlett’s will, dated 5 Jul 1734 and recorded 5 May 1734, gives his son William a plantation on the Reeds Branch up to Licking Creek. To his son Peter, William gives a tract of land on Beaver Pond in Prince Georges County, Virginia. To his son John, William gives a parcel of land on Old Town Creek in Henrico County, Virginia. Rowlett, William (I1051)

William Sanders Stiles served in during the Civil War from 1863 to 1865. Stiles, William Sanders (I1925)

William Stacy’s birthdate is actually recorded as “Feb. 15 1733-4” due to the use (through 1752 in the American Colonies) of dual Julian/Gregorian year designations for events occurring during the months of January, February, March. Stacy, William (I5090)

William Stiles moved to Texas and took up ranching after the U.S. Civil War. Stiles, William (I3314)

William Thomas Baldwin married to Adeline "Addie" Daniel on 24 May 1860 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. He then married Sarah Emily Stiles after Adeline’s death in 1877. Baldwin, William Thomas (I5408)

William Walker died between 8 Mar 1697, the date of his will, and 25 Oct 1703, when his will was proved. Walker, William (I3820)

With only a single exception, [QDoJaAG-1891a] the birth record of the eldest Australian born child of John Edward Fairbanks and Elizabeth (Lush) Fairbanks, Ethel Fairbanks is mentioned in every birth record of her younger siblings. But since Ethel Fairbanks does not appear on the passenger manifest of the Taroba, she may be adopted or a child informally raised by the Fairbanks family as their own. She also appears to have passed away prior to her father’s death in 1938. Coincidentally, an “Ethel Fairbanks” of the same age is listed in the 1901 Irish Census for County Sligo. This Ethel is living with Euphemia (Thomson) Fairbanks and is listed as a niece. Fairbanks, Ethel (I5065)

[Alden-1888] lists Mina Albertina Lindell’s birth in September of 1880, but this is obviously incorrect as she appears in the US Federal Census for 1880. Lindell, Mina Albertina (I2010)

[Alden-1888] lists “McGinlay” as Margaret’s surname. McGinley, Margaret (I640)

[Alden-1888] states that Patrick McCarney was born in County Monaghan, Province of Ulster, rather than in County Donegal. McCarney, Patrick (I646)

[Alden-1988] refers to Manus O’Keefe’s wife as “Julia McLoney”. Maloney, Julia (I1043)

[Anderson-1964] and [Hugo-1967] list Charles Spurgeon Flanagan birth place as Caldwell, Burleson County, Texas, but Charles’ death certificate lists his birth place as “Tunis”. Flanagan, Charles Spurgeon (I2087)

[Anderson-1964] has a birth date of 18 Jun 1903 for Richard Landrum Draper. Draper, Richard Landrum (I2243)

[Anderson-1964] has a date of 12 Aug 1861 for Mary Hanna Johnson’s birth. Johnson, Mary Hannah (I2116)

[Anderson-1964] has Caroline Delena Herndon born on 20 Oct 1880. But this does not agree with IGI or census records of her father’s family (George Wallace Herndon and Mary Emma Draper). Herndon, Caroline Delena (I2071)

[Anderson-1964] has “Thommie Maud Littlejohn’s” (note the spelling) death on 17 Aug 1903 . Littlejohn, Tommie Maude (I2197)

[Anderson-1964] incorrectly lists Richard’s name as “Richard Bunyan Herndon,” however this is contradicted by his son’s birth certificate. Herndon, Richard Ben (I2070)

[Anderson-1964] incorrectly lists Tennie’s name as “Tinnie Calhoun”. Calhoun, Tennie May (I1125)

[Anderson-1964] incorrectly lists the date of Robert Boyd Herndon’s marriage to Tennie May Calhoun as 20 Apr 1910. Herndon, Robert Boyd (I1124)

[Anderson-1964] lists an “O. B. Flanagan”, the 5th and youngest child of Charles Spurgeon Flanagan and Carolina Delena (Herndon) Flanagan. However, US census records show no such child ever being enumerated in the Flanagan household. The individual referred to may be, Orin B Flanagan, the son of Clifford and Stella Flanagan of Red River, Texas later the Hugo, Choctaw County area of Oklahoma. Orin (sometimes “Olin”) B Flanagan died 5 Feb 1994 in Hugo and may be buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, but he is not buried in the Flanagan family plot. Family: Charles Spurgeon Flanagan / Caroline Delena Herndon (F1486)

[Anderson-1964] lists Mary Hannah Johnson’s birthplace as “Booneville, Georgia,” but no such town exists. [Hugo-1945] lists her as being a native of “Gordon Co, Alabama,” even though there is no such county. Given the conflicting information, and its proximity to Calhoun County, Alabama, “Boozeville, Floyd County, Georgia,” may be the best approximation of her birthplace. Johnson, Mary Hannah (I2116)

[Anderson-1964] lists Nancy Wilkins’ birth place as “Spartanburg, Union County, South Carolina,” but Spartanburg has never been part of Union County, hence this database lists the location as “near Spartanburg. In addition, all of Nancy Wilkins’ siblings were, according to LDS Ancestra File, born in Virginia (or Georgia)”. Wilkins, Nancy (I2120)

[Anderson-1964] refers to Daniel Davis Draper’s buriel place as “...cemetery near Alexandria.” This may be a reference to Union Cemetery. Draper, Daniel Davis (I2133)

[Austin-1995a] actually lists birth as, “Jan 1650/51,” and death before 22 May 1728. Hopkins, Caleb (I3787)

[Austin-1995a] does not indicate when Elizabeth Hopkins was born, but in 1644 after her father’s death she was entrusted to the care of Richard Sparrow and his family. She disappeared sometime before Sep of 1659, and was believe to be dead by Oct 1659 when her older half-brother Giles, Andrew Ring, and Jacob Cooke concluded an agreement regarding her property. Hopkins, Elizabeth (I3808)

[Austin-1995a] does not list a death location for Thankful Hopkins, but it’s likely that she died in Eastham, Barnstable County, since both of her husbands were residents of Eastham. Hopkins, Thankful (I3748)

[Austin-1995a] does not list Jonathan Hopkins’ birthplace, but notes that his birth was recorded in Eastham, Barnstable County Hopkins, Jonathan (I3761)

[Austin-1995a] does not list Jonathan Linnell’s birthplace but does note that his birth was recorded in Eastham records. The use of “Eastham, Barnstable County” is an assumption based on his father being resident of Eastham and his own marriage in Eastham. Linnell, Jonathan (I3732)
