1. | Harriet Cole Eastman was born on 26 Jun 1861 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States (daughter of Warren Eastman and Rachel Young Cole); died on 31 Aug 1960 in Newport Center, Orleans County, Vermont, United States; was buried on 3 Sep 1960 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: Harriet Cole Eastman’s birthdate and birth location are corroborated by many sources including [Tutein-1997c], [VtSAaRA-1960a], [OakGrove-1960], and [NEHGS-1861a]. Harriet married William Franklin Tutein on 30 Mar 1881 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. William (son of Constantine Dedriech Tutein and Louisa Sawyer) was born on 29 Jan 1862 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 1 Apr 1937 in Stoneham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States; was buried on 3 Apr 1937 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] Notes: [NEHGS-1881e] does not actually state that William Franklin Tutein and Harriet Cole Eastman were at Chelsea, Suffolk County, but since both were living in Chelsea at the time and the Justice of the Peace who officiated was also from Chelsea, it is a reasonable assumption.Children:

2. | Warren Eastman was born on 19 May 1821 in Parsonsfield, York County, Maine, United States (son of John Eastman and Betsey Day); died on 9 Jan 1908 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 11 Jan 1908 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [Exeter-1908a] and [Exeter-1908] both state that Warren Eastman was the son of John Eastman and Betsey Day of Parsonsfield, York County, Maine, but to date no records have been found to substantiate this. Moreover, LDS IGI has a complete listing of children of John Eastman, and no Warren is listed. It may be the case that Jeremiah Eastman (an elder son of John) and Warren Eastman, are the same man. Warren married Rachel Young Cole on 10 Jun 1849 in Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Rachel (daughter of Nehemiah Cole and Sabra Doane Pierce) was born on 12 Jan 1832 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 23 Jan 1916 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 24 Jan 1916 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. 3. | Rachel Young Cole was born on 12 Jan 1832 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States (daughter of Nehemiah Cole and Sabra Doane Pierce); died on 23 Jan 1916 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 24 Jan 1916 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: Two of Rachel Young Cole’s siblings, Harriet and Solomon were living in the Eastman home in Chelsea at the time of the enumeration of the 1860 US Federal census. Notes: “10 Mar 1849” and “Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts”, derived from [LDS-IGI-1982c], are probably references to the date and location of Warren and Rachel’s registration of their intention to marry... not their actual marriage.

12. | Daniel Cole was born on 2 Aug 1783 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States (son of Daniel Cole and Susanna Collings); died on 1 Jan 1864 in Truro, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: The connection of this Daniel Cole to the family of Daniel Cole and Susanna Collings is supported by [NEHGS-1864d] which notes that Daniel’s parents were “Daniel and Susie”. Daniel married Polly Atwood Snow on 19 May 1805 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. Polly (daughter of Joseph Snow and Rebecca Young) was born on 29 Jun 1785 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 12 May 1836 in (unknown); was buried after 12 May 1836 in Duck Creek Cemetery, Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
13. | Polly Atwood Snow was born on 29 Jun 1785 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States (daughter of Joseph Snow and Rebecca Young); died on 12 May 1836 in (unknown); was buried after 12 May 1836 in Duck Creek Cemetery, Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: Due mostly to the listing found in [Holbrook-1805a], this individual has been incorrectly identified as “Polly Atwood” by hundreds of researchers. But [Holbrook-1805b], the marriage intention filed by Daniel Cole and Polly in February of that same year, lists Polly’s full maiden name, as “Polly Atwood Snow”. Polly Atwood Snow was the daughter of Joseph and Rebecca (Young) Snow of Wellfleet, and there is ample additional evidence to indicate that Daniel Cole’s wife was, indeed, Polly Atwood Snow, rather than one of the many women from Cape Cod named Polly Atwood. First, two of their children were given the middle name “Snow” (Polly’s father’s side of the family). Second, one child was given the middle name “Young” (Polly’s mother’s side of the family). Third, Daniel Cole’s wife died in 1836 at the age of 51—putting her birth year near 1785, the same as our Ms. Snow. Notes: In the marriage intention recorded by the Clerk of Barnstable County, Polly Atwood is listed as “Polly Atwood Snow”. Due to her age at the time of her marriage to Daniel Cole, this would seem to cast doubt that her maiden name was actually Atwood.

Notes: Note the spelling change for the surname of the children of Solomon Peirce and Keziah Doane. Solomon married Keziah Doane on 18 Apr 1799 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. Keziah (daughter of Azariah Doane and Molly Linnell) was born on 2 Oct 1785 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States; was christened on 8 Apr 1787 in Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States; died in ? in (unknown).
