1. | Dora Tutein was born in Nov 1899 in _______, _______, Massachusetts, United States (daughter of Constantine Diedrich Tutein and Alice Gertrude Kimball); died in ? in (unknown). Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: Dora Tutein is oddly listed as a “Boarder” in source [US-1900-2e] and her mother is listed as having been born in Maine. Given that Alice Gertrude (Kimball) Tutein was born in Massachusetts, Dora may be an adopted child. Further research is required since other census entries list her as a daughter of Constantine and Alice Tutein. Family/Spouse: Arnold R Okuro. Arnold was born about 1905 in _______, _______, Massachusetts, United States; died in ? in (unknown). [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
2. | Constantine Diedrich Tutein was born on 18 Jun 1868 in Malden, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States (son of Edward Gross Tutein and Annie Eldora Wright); died after 1946 in (unknown). Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [NEHGS-1968a] confirms information from [Shurtleff-1938] about the year and location of Constantine Diedrich Tutein’s birth. Constantine married Alice Gertrude Kimball on 7 Mar 1893 in Revere, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Alice was born on 12 Mar 1870 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States; died after 1946 in (unknown). [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |

Notes: The GEDCOM from Alan Bruce Tutein lists Constantine D Tutein’s wife as “M.A. Gertrude”.Constantine Diedrich Tutein and his family appear to be living on Beach Street in Revere, Massachusetts in 1900, but the house number is not recorded in [US-1900-2e].

4. | Edward Gross Tutein was born on 16 Jun 1840 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States (son of Friedrich Johannes Tutein and Nancy Stacy); died on 12 Jul 1905 in Revere, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States; was buried on 15 Jul 1905 in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: It is odd that the 1850 Federal Census for MA lists Edward as having been born in New Hampshire, like his elder brother Frederick, when a birth record for Chelsea, Massachusetts exists. Edward married Annie Eldora Wright on 17 Aug 1867 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Annie was born on 2 Aug 1844 in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States; died in 1907 in (unknown). [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
5. | Annie Eldora Wright was born on 2 Aug 1844 in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States; died in 1907 in (unknown). Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: Annie Eldora Wright’s parents were Jonathan and Hannah P Wright.

8. | Friedrich Johannes Tutein was born on 4 Dec 1798 in Copenhagen, Denmark (son of Johann Friederick Tutein and Maria Susannah van Beverhoudt); died in 1858 in _______, _______, Massachusetts, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: 1873, widely reported in LDS sources as the year of Friedrich Tutein’s death, appears to be incorrect. 1858, on the other hand, reported in [Gross-1901a], is consistent with the fact that Friedrich Tutein’s wife Nancy, son Frederick J, and daughter Mary E were all living with his eldest son Constantine in 1860. Friedrich married Nancy Stacy on 14 Jul 1833 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Nancy (daughter of Philemon Stacy and Polly Bray Edgily) was born on 27 Oct 1804 in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 2 Aug 1881 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
9. | Nancy Stacy was born on 27 Oct 1804 in Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States (daughter of Philemon Stacy and Polly Bray Edgily); died on 2 Aug 1881 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: It appears that Nancy Stacy married a John Campbell before her marriage Friedrich Johannes Tutein, as a son from that marriage, William Campbell, is living in the Tutein household in 1850 and 1855. This also explains why, when she married Friedrich Johannes Tutein she stated her name as “Nancy Campbell”, while most of her children referred to her in vital records as “Nancy Stacy”. It is not clear how the names “Nancy Gross Stacy”, [Tutein-1997a] or “Nancy Gross” [Nolthenius-1998] were derived, since the only reference to “Gross” is its use as her youngest son’s (by Friedrich) middle name.
