It is not clear if this individual’s given name was “Buda”, as listed in [US-1900-1l2]] and [US-1920-2l], or “Beda” is listed in [US-1910-2d].

    • Census: 28 Jan 1920, Ward 4, Fond du Lac City, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States

    Notes:

In [US-1900-1l1] it is difficult to tell whether Hertilla Bonnell was married to a man named “Farris” as transcribed in her own entry or to a man named “Farin” as transcribed in the entries of her daughters. The latter is more likely since a “Hertilla Farin” is listed in later census records.

Hertilla Bonnell was enumerated twice in the 1870 census. First, on 26 June she is enumerated in the household of her grandfather, John B Killips. Then, on 29 June, she is enumerated in her parent’s household.

In 1910 Hertilla A (Bonnell) Farin was living with her daughters in her mother’s household, having divorced from her husband over a decade earlier.

    • Census: 10 Jun 1880, 3rd Ward, Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States

    Notes:

Since Oscar A Bonnell does not appear with his wife and children in [US-1900-1l1], it is assumed that he died before June of 1900.

Oscar married Lucia E Killips on 22 Jun 1864 in Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States. Lucia (daughter of John B McKillips and Lucy Gant) was born in Dec 1842 in _______, _______, Vermont, United States; died after May 1926 in Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States; was buried after May 1926 in Rienza Cemetery, Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States. • Census: 28 Jan 1920, Ward 4, Fond du Lac City, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States

    Notes:

There is considerable confusion regarding Lucia E Killips. Bonnell family sources refer to this woman as “Lucia Phillips”, but careful examination of [FondduLac-1864] reveals that, in fact, the family name is indeed “Killips”. Moreover, it appears that the first name, “Lucia”, may have been a nickname that she used only in adulthood. In [US-1860-1p] Lucia E Killips is listed as “Sarah E Killips”, and [US-1850-1n] as “Lucy”.

Lucia E (Bonnell) Killips was living in her daughter’s household in 1920.

    Residence:
    37 Union Street

    Residence:

    Notes:

A “George W Killips” witnessed the marriage of Oscar A Bonnell and Lucia E Killips. This is probably her older brother.
