4. | Walter C Harvey was born on 7 Dec 1853 in Norton, Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 3 Dec 1881 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [NEHGS-1881c] does not actually list Walter C Harvey’s birthdate. Rather it lists his age at death as “27 years, 11 months, 26 days”. This places his birth on, or about, 7 Dec 1853”. Walter married Eliza Ann Eastman on 21 Jun 1876 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Eliza (daughter of Warren Eastman and Rachel Young Cole) was born on 17 Aug 1858 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 23 Nov 1942 in North Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. 5. | Eliza Ann Eastman was born on 17 Aug 1858 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States (daughter of Warren Eastman and Rachel Young Cole); died on 23 Nov 1942 in North Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: Eliza Ann Eastman is not referenced in any sources after the enumeration of the 1870 US Federal census. Likewise, Ida A Eastman, is not referenced in any sources before her marriage to Walter C Harvey in 1876. Furthermore, [Tutein-1978] lists 8 children of Warren and Rachel Young (Cole) Eastman who lived to adulthood, and Eliza is not among them. Consequently, since Tutein descendants only knew Eliza by the nickname that she used throughout her adult life, “Ida”, and since Ida (Eastman-Harvey) Pettigrew was known to have been born in Aug of 1858, Ida and Eliza must be the same individual. Notes: [NEHGS-1876a] does not actually state that Ida A Eastman and Walter C Harvey were married in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, but given that they were both living in Chelsea at the time, their marriage was registered in Chelsea and in no other municipality, and that the minister who married them was from Chelsea, it is safe to assume that they did indeed marry in Chelsea.

10. | Warren Eastman was born on 19 May 1821 in Parsonsfield, York County, Maine, United States (son of John Eastman and Betsey Day); died on 9 Jan 1908 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 11 Jan 1908 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [Exeter-1908a] and [Exeter-1908] both state that Warren Eastman was the son of John Eastman and Betsey Day of Parsonsfield, York County, Maine, but to date no records have been found to substantiate this. Moreover, LDS IGI has a complete listing of children of John Eastman, and no Warren is listed. It may be the case that Jeremiah Eastman (an elder son of John) and Warren Eastman, are the same man. Warren married Rachel Young Cole on 10 Jun 1849 in Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Rachel (daughter of Nehemiah Cole and Sabra Doane Pierce) was born on 12 Jan 1832 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 23 Jan 1916 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 24 Jan 1916 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
11. | Rachel Young Cole was born on 12 Jan 1832 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States (daughter of Nehemiah Cole and Sabra Doane Pierce); died on 23 Jan 1916 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 24 Jan 1916 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: Two of Rachel Young Cole’s siblings, Harriet and Solomon were living in the Eastman home in Chelsea at the time of the enumeration of the 1860 US Federal census. Notes: “10 Mar 1849” and “Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts”, derived from [LDS-IGI-1982c], are probably references to the date and location of Warren and Rachel’s registration of their intention to marry... not their actual marriage.
