Notes: This individual does not appear in [US-1860-1n], and may in fact be a reference to “Augustus Budahn” son of Heinrich Budahn and Anna Maria (Schulz) Budahn. That individual was Friedrich Budahn’s younger brother. An “August Budahn” Appears in [US-1860-1m]. |
2. | Johann Heinrich Friedrich Wilhelm Budahn was born on 11 Feb 1827 in Dannenberg, Wollin Parish, Pomerania, Kingdom of Prussia (son of Christian Heinrich Budahn and Anna Maria Schulz); died on 10 Mar 1867 in (unknown); was buried after 10 Mar 1867 in Hochheim Cemetery, Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [US-NARA-2003a1] lists this individual as “J. H. F. W. Budhan” which corresponds exactly to Friedrich Budahn’s full name, “Johann Heinrich Friedrich Wilhelm,” as listed in [Griefswald-1827a]. Johann + Caroline Firks. Caroline was born on 6 Jun 1831 in Lebin, Pomerania, Prussia; died on 21 Nov 1911 in _______, Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States; was buried after 21 Nov 1911 in Hochheim Cemetery, Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. 4. | Christian Heinrich Budahn was born on 11 Nov 1793 in Dannenberg, Wollin Parish, Swedish Pomerania (son of Johann Budahn and Maria Fromholzen); died on 27 Oct 1879 in Theresa, Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States; was buried after 27 Oct 1879 in Hochheim Cemetery, Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [Mueller-1999] and [Heian-2010] have “Heinrich Budahn’s” birth listed as “Donnerberg, Usedom-Wollin, Prussia” and “Stettin, Pomerania, Prussia” respectively. However, neither of these locations is supported by any vital records uncovered thus far. Moreover, the only contemporary reference for a “Donnerberg” is probably an historic village near Aachen in Nordhein-Wesfalen, a considerable distance from Gristow where Christian Heinrich Budahn and Anna Maria Schulz were married. On the other hand, [Greifswald-1820a] states that Christian Heinrich Budahn was “...of Dannenberg”, a village on the island of Wollin at the edge of the Baltic Sea. The modern location is the Polish village of Domysłów, Wolin. [Greifswald-1820a] is not conclusive evidence that Christian Heinrich Budahn was born in Dannenberg, but it is much more likely than locations supplied by other sources. Christian married Anna Maria Schulz on 18 Oct 1820 in Gristow, Cammin Parish, Pomerania, Kingdom of Prussia. Anna (daughter of Johan Schulz and Anna Christina Pidd) was born on 19 Sep 1802 in Michaelis, Usedom-Wollin, Swedish Pomerania; died on 27 Jan 1880 in Theresa, Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States; was buried after 27 Jan 1880 in Hochheim Cemetery, Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. 5. | Anna Maria Schulz was born on 19 Sep 1802 in Michaelis, Usedom-Wollin, Swedish Pomerania (daughter of Johan Schulz and Anna Christina Pidd); died on 27 Jan 1880 in Theresa, Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States; was buried after 27 Jan 1880 in Hochheim Cemetery, Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [Heian-2010] has Anna Maria Schulz’ birth at Schokken, Posen, Prussia, but this is contradicted by [Miller-1999]..
