    Daniel Eastman was a revolutionary war soldier serving from 3 May 1775 to Aug 1775 in Capt. Joshua Bragdon’s company of the Thirtieth Massachusetts Regiment. He also served from Aug 14 1777 to Nov 30 1777 in Capt. James Littlefields company and from 30 Mar 1778 to 3 Jul 1778 in Capt. Samuel Waterhouse’s company.

    Daniel Eastman lived for some time in Sanford and Cornish Maine before settling in Parsonsfield.

    Notes:

    Ebenezer Eastman was the first settler of Concord, Merrimack County, Province of New Hampshire, but it is not known when he moved there from Massachusetts. He was definitely in Haverhill in 1719 when his son Jeremiah was born, and definitely in Concord before 1729 when his daughter Ruth was born.

    Ebenezer Eastman’s will states that he was “of Rumford in the province of New Hampshire...” Concord was named Rumford before 1765 when then Governor Wentworth gave the town its name.

    Merrimack County, New Hampshire was created from Rockingham and Hillsborough counties in 1823.
