Bonnell family sources refer to this woman as “Lucia Phillips”, but careful examination of [FondduLac-1864] reveals that, in fact, the family name is indeed “Killips”. Moreover, it appears that the first name, “Lucia”, may have been a nickname that she used only in adulthood. In [US-1860-1p] Lucia E Killips is listed as “Sarah E Killips”, and [US-1850-1n] as “Lucy”. Notes: A “George W Killips” witnessed the marriage of Oscar A Bonnell and Lucia E Killips. This is probably her older brother.
