John married Sarah Pomfrett about 1744. Sarah (daughter of John Pomfrett and Mary De Jarnett) was born in ?; died in ?. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The death date of John Herndon is not recorded in _The Herndon’s of the American Revolution, Part I_. However John Herndon’s will was presented in court in Charlotte County, Virginia on 5 Jun 1786, and so he probably died in May or June of that year.
