1. | Nellie Alice Manwaring was born on 27 Nov 1896 in Stratham, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States (daughter of Silas S Manwaring and Annie Eastman); died on 10 Oct 1918 in Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States; was buried on 12 Oct 1918 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [OakGrove-1918] lists Nellie Alice Manwaring’s birth as 27 Nov 1896, but this conflicts with her New Hampshire birth record which lists 28 Nov 1897. Nellie married Herbert Warren Tutein on 17 Jun 1916 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. Herbert (son of William Franklin Tutein and Harriet Cole Eastman) was born on 13 Feb 1891 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 7 Jan 1980 in Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried after 7 Jan 1980 in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, Massachusetts, United States. 2. | Silas S Manwaring was born on 6 Jul 1857 in Niantic, New London County, Connecticut, United States; died on 13 Apr 1950 in Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried after 13 Apr 1950 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: The obituary of James Eastman, [Exeter-1932] and [US-1900-1b] both agree that Silas’ surname is “Manwaring,” not “Manwarren” as stated in Letter to Robert Stanley Fairbanks from Herbert Warren Tutein. Silas married Annie Eastman on 25 Dec 1886 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States. Annie (daughter of Warren Eastman and Rachel Young Cole) was born on 26 Jan 1864 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 11 Jan 1945 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 14 Jan 1945 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. 6. | Warren Eastman was born on 19 May 1821 in Parsonsfield, York County, Maine, United States (son of John Eastman and Betsey Day); died on 9 Jan 1908 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 11 Jan 1908 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [Exeter-1908a] and [Exeter-1908] both state that Warren Eastman was the son of John Eastman and Betsey Day of Parsonsfield, York County, Maine, but to date no records have been found to substantiate this. Moreover, LDS IGI has a complete listing of children of John Eastman, and no Warren is listed. It may be the case that Jeremiah Eastman (an elder son of John) and Warren Eastman, are the same man. Warren married Rachel Young Cole on 10 Jun 1849 in Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Rachel (daughter of Nehemiah Cole and Sabra Doane Pierce) was born on 12 Jan 1832 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States; died on 23 Jan 1916 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 24 Jan 1916 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
7. | Rachel Young Cole was born on 12 Jan 1832 in Wellfleet, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States (daughter of Nehemiah Cole and Sabra Doane Pierce); died on 23 Jan 1916 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States; was buried on 24 Jan 1916 in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: Two of Rachel Young Cole’s siblings, Harriet and Solomon were living in the Eastman home in Chelsea at the time of the enumeration of the 1860 US Federal census. Notes: “10 Mar 1849” and “Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts”, derived from [LDS-IGI-1982c], are probably references to the date and location of Warren and Rachel’s registration of their intention to marry... not their actual marriage.
