1. | Elvira W Sawyer was born on 10 Oct 1836 in Boothbay, Lincoln County, Maine, United States (daughter of Samuel Sawyer and Lydia Anders); died on 6 Jan 1905 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States; was buried after 6 Jan 1905 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: [Woodlawn-1905] has lists Elvira’s age at death as being 68 years, 2 months, and 26 days. This places her birth on 21 Oct 1836. This date is contradicted by her family’s birth records, [Boothbay-2002a]. Elvira married Joseph Andrew Tutein on 16 Jan 1859 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Joseph (son of Friedrich Johannes Tutein and Nancy Stacy) was born on 3 Sep 1836 in Somersworth, Strafford County, New Hampshire, United States; died on 13 Mar 1913 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States; was buried on 15 Mar 1913 in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] Notes: Joseph A Tutein’s marriage to Elvira W Sawyer was registered in Boston but probably took place in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts due to the fact they both lived in Chelsea at the time.Children:

Notes: Samuel Sawyer was living with his daughter and son-in-law, Elvira W (Sawyer) and Joseph Andrew Tutein, at the time of the enumeration of the 1870 US census. Samuel married Lydia Anders on 17 Oct 1825 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, United States. Lydia was born about 1803 in _______, _______, Maine, United States; died on 13 Apr 1851 in (unknown). [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
3. | Lydia Anders was born about 1803 in _______, _______, Maine, United States; died on 13 Apr 1851 in (unknown). Other Events and Attributes:
Notes: In [Holbrook-1825a] Lydia Anders is listed as, “...of Boston,” although it is not clear if this means that he was a resident of Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts at the time of her marriage to Samuel Sawyer or that she was born and raised in Boston. It may, in fact, imply both since she and Samuel were married in Boston Notes: Unlike the entry for Samuel Sawyer and Lydia Anders in [Holbrook-1825a], [Holbrook-1825b] does list a pastor. Consequently, it is assumed that this was Samuel and Lydia’s publication of their intention to marry.
