    Other Events and Attributes:

    Notes:

The 1850 US Federal Census for Cleveland County, North Carolina lists Delilah Ann Langford’s name as “Dilly A Lankford”.

[Nix-2000] is not clear whether Delilah Ann Langford was born in Cleveland or Lincoln County, North Carolina, but given that many of Delilah sisters were born in Cleveland County and that US Federal census records indicate that the family was in Cleveland County, this database uses the former.

Susan Belle Collins, Delilah Ann (Langford) Collins’ youngest daughter, was born 18 May 1867. Miller Collin’s parents indicated in a letter sent from Arkansas in December 1867 that that Delilah Ann had already passed away. Consequently, this database assumes that Delilah passed away sometime between May and December of 1867.

    Notes:

The original marriage entry from [Nix-2000] reads, “Pickens County, Georgia, Book 1854-78, Page 35,” as if it is a source rather than a statement of the marriage location. Additional research is needed.
